The idea behind a sport such as SuperMoto is really peculiar and for some reasons also ambitious. This motorsport discipline, born in the 70’s in the USA, evolved during the last 40 years but its main concept never changed so the mix of dirty tracks and features belonging to Road Racing and Motocross made of the SuperMoto an adventurous motorcycle sport whose main appointment of the year is marked by the SuperMoto of Nations.
Since 2006, this worldwide meeting with the stars of the SuperMoto championships disputed all over the world visited many countries, first overall Ireland in 2006 and Italy in 2007, then it was the time of Bulgaria in 2008 and 2009 followed by France in 2010.
This season Superiders will gather together on the first weekend of October when the MotorLand of Alcañiz Teruel will host the SMoN for its first time, after having been the scenery of the MotoGP Grand Prix of Aragon on the September 18th weekend.
The SuperMoto of Nations’ 2011 edition will be a worldwide record to be remembered in the history of the Sport with 25 Teams coming from 21 different nations: France, Italy, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, Estonia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Latvia, Norway, Croatia, Lithuania, Portugal, Austria, Russia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
