The FIM Asia General Assembly and Gala Awards Ceremony took place today in Macau in the presence of FIM President Jorge Viegas.
Nineteen of the twenty-eight FMN’s affiliated with FIM Asia took part in this important day during which the 2019 accounts and the 2020 budgets were approved. The commissions were able to present their reports on sports and tourism activities, plus present the amendments to the regulations and calendars for 2020.
The day then continued with the traditional FIM Asia Awards Ceremony to honour the eleven Asian champions of 2019. During the prize giving ceremony, four special awards were presented to the following recipients: Jorge Viegas - FIM President; Franck Vayssié - QMMF Director of Racing; the Macau Federation (AAMC) and the Zuhai Circuit.
At the end of this packed progamme the FIM President declared “I was very honoured to be present in the FIM Asia General Assembly and also to receive a special award in the name of the FIM, for the support we gave to assist with the development of this very active Continental Union. The growth of the Motorcycle Sport in Asia is absolutely fabulous!”
