Yesterday’s FIM Women’s Trial des Nations in La Chatre, France brought to a close the season for the female Trial riders, with the 2013 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship having also been concluded the previous day. Using the opportunity of so many Women riders being gathered in one place, the FIM Trial Commission (CTR) organised its now annual meeting with the girls to gather their feedback on the 2013 season and their thoughts for the future.
FIM President Vito Ippolito was present throughout this informative and positive exchange, with CTR Director Thierry Michaud opening the occasion before he then handed over to the various members of the Women’s working group within his commission. Mr Ippolito added a few words of his own to confirm his and the FIM’s support to the continued work to improve the status of Women’s sport within the International Federation. The female riders were well represented with around forty girls from all the main European countries plus those from Australia, Japan, America and New Zealand attending.
The three main topics covered during this end of season meeting were the 2013 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship, the recent Women’s training camp and the more general topic of the development of Women’s Trial around the World.
Post the meeting, the girls were looking forward to sharing one last evening together to celebrate their various achievements of 2013 and the end of term.
