Whether you like sleeping in a tent, a cabin, a hotel or all of these, the classic FIM Motorcycle Touring events have something for you.
The classic FIM Touring events in 2017 are a kind of “Up and down” journey through the European continent, starting in June, when the town of Poppi in the Italian mountain range of The Apennines is hosting the FIM Motocamp. This event is strictly for campers, and this tradition has been preserved since 1980s when the first event was held, also in Italy.
Since 1936, the FIM, with the help of its member federations, has been organising the oldest existing Motorcycle Touring event in Europe - the FIM Rally. This year it will be taking place in northern Sweden in Sundsvall at the end of July.
A week before that, holders of the FIM Touring distinction called the “Meritum”, with five or more classic FIM events on their record, will be meeting in the Norwegian city of Røros.
Finally, the season of classic FIM Events will be ending in early September in Greece, where the newest event – the FIM Mototour of Nations – will be based in the city of Ioannina.
The FIM has been the international federation for motorcycling activities, in both sport and beyond sport, since 1904 and welcomes riders of all kind of motorcycles and motorcyclists of all ages, genders and nationalities to our Touring events.
If you as a motorcyclist are interested in participating, please contact your national FIM member federation or its partner for touring activities.
