KARIBA-ZIMBABWE 1 – 3 MAY 2015
This is the first “Tour of Nations” run under the aegis of a Continental Union. Others will surely follow this example, considering the cultural, economic and social values associated with motorcycle touring events. In line with the policy of renewal of motorcycle touring adopted by the FIM, this is a first step towards broadening our activities and involving new countries to host such events.
Almost 100 riders from Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe will participate, making it a truly international occasion.
FIM Africa Touring & Leisure Commission, with the support of Havoc Brother’s Motorcycle Club, will hold their third annual Nyami Nyami Rally over the weekend of 1 – 3 May 2015, at the Cutty Sark Hotel, in Kariba, Zimbabwe, on the shores of the fantastic Lake Kariba, the world's largest man-made lake and reservoir by volume.
Three days will be spent discovering the wild nature of the south-western part of the African continent, moving from Harare, Capital city of Zimbabwe, to the lake, which lies on the border with Zambia border. The participants will visit the Sampa Karuma Island by boat, getting involved in the history and traditions of the Tonga people and the legend of their snake-shaped god called “Nyami Nyami”. The event will close with entertainment and a prize-giving ceremony. Everyone is invited to attend, so for more information just click on the link.
