The 2019 FIM Snowcross World Championship and FIM Women's Snowcross World Cup is at Bodentravet trotting track in Sweden’s northern town of Boden this weekend and ready for racing. The annual event will put the best Snowcross riders in the World against each other for the chance to win the title of World Champion or World Cup winner.
The event has hosted intense racing between the top riders since its first running years ago and this weekend will be no different as multi-time and defending champion Adam Renheim returns for an attempt at his 6th World Title! Challenges to Renheim’s 7th title are Aki Pihjala, Par Vikman, and more while 2017 Women’s Snowcross World Cup winner Elina Ohman returns for another shot at the Women’s title.
Today the action kicks off with the Free and Qualifying sessions, but the title races will be taking to the track tomorrow and can be followed via live timing HERE www.race-monitor.com/Live/Race/80590
On top of the World Championship and World Cup racing the best European riders will also fight for the FIM Europe Snowcross title. Action will start Saturday with the first Semi Final Race of the Women’s World Cup at 11 AM followed by shortly the first race of the Snowcross World Championship.
The event’s first visit to Boden is welcomed by the city’s mayor, Mr. Claes Nordmark, who said “It is a fantastic opportunity for us to welcome the World Snowcross community to Boden. During our 100 years as a city we have grown from a military town to a modern place focused on tourism, innovation, and game development. I am happy to welcome this world class motorsport to the plethora of things northern Sweden has to offer.”
