Denmark’s Mikkel Michelsen continues his quest for the Under 21 title in Poland on Saturday and will again face stiff opposition from home favourite Bartosz Zmarslik.With both riders tied on 14 points after the first round and with one win each when they met, this meeting will be an opportunity for each to establish a clear lead over his rival.
The following pack will also hope to close the gap between them and the leaders with three Danes in contention for medal places. Nikolaj B Jacobsen, Mikkel Bech Jensen and Anders Thomsen may be fellow countrymen but this is individual competition and no favours will be given or expected. Australia too has strong expectations for its two riders in the leading group, Brady Kurtz and Max Fricke.
Poland has only two qualifiers for the 2015 Final series and although Zmarzlik shares the lead with Michelsen, Pawel Przedpelski was handicapped by having to ride with a collar bone injury in the first Final. He will have strong vocal support in Lublin as he attempts to improve his position. Polish Wild Card will be Maksim Drabik, son of Slawonir Drabik the former Grand Prix rider.
With Aleksandr Loktaev suspended and original Wild Card Kyle Howarth injured FIM have drafted Germans Valentin Grobauer and Michael Hartel as replacements with the full line up and draw now:
|3||Michael Hartel||Germany (Wild Card)|
|4||Nikolai B Jacobsen||Denmark|
|11||Stefan Nielsen||Great Britain|
|13||Maksym Drabik||Poland (Wild Card)|
|14||Mikkel Bech Jensen||Denmark|
|17||Adiran Cyfer||Poland (Reserve)|
