Anticipation and excitement is building inside the Genoa Palasport Fierra stadium - Genoa, Italy as the World's best enduro riders prepare for the opening round of the 2012 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.
With the track prepared, riders are getting ready to face a tough and challenging course. One that includes numerous boulder gardens, sand sections and the customary water crossing, which is filled with slippery logs to ensure a night of unpredictable racing.
One rider keen to get things underway is multiple Trials World Champion and current extreme and indoor enduro specialist Dougie Lampkin (Gas Gas). "I'm looking forward to the start of this FIM SuperEnduro World Championship," remarked Dougie. "The track looks really good - both technical and fast flowing, so it should make for some exciting racing. As it's the first round of this championship the line up of riders is very strong. I think the start will be crucial for success so my main goal is to try to get a top five start and see how the race will go from there. Hopefully if I can do that then a podium will be possible
