At the invitation of the FIM, a delegation from the International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (IMMA), a body representing combined skills and interests of the powered two- and three-wheeler manufacturing industry at global level, recently visited the Federation’s new Headquarters in Mies. The IMMA delegation was made up of IMMA Secretary General Edwin Bastiaensen and IMMA Technical Director Daniela Leveratto.
IMMA and the FIM have maintained regular contacts for many years. This meeting, held on 12 July, provided an opportunity for the FIM to update IMMA on the wide-ranging work done by the FIM and its national federations in connection with both motorcycle sport and the non-sport use of motorcycles.
The aim of the meeting, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, was to explore avenues for a closer working relationship between the two organisations in areas of common interest, with a particular focus on mobility and environmental issues.
