Czech Republic international Matej Kus has been handed the FIM Mitas Czech Republic Speedway Grand Prix wild card for the third year on the trot and dons the famous No.16 race jacket for the meeting at the Marketa Stadium in Prague on May 28.
Kus, who races for Prague in the Czech Ekstraliga and Redcar in the British Elite League, scored one point as the wild card in 2009 and bagged three in the role last year. He also top-scored with four points for his country in Event One of the FIM Speedway World Cup at Gorzow, Poland, last July.
The 21-year-old is joined in the meeting by track reserves Lukas Dryml and Zdenek Simota. Former Grand Prix regular Dryml, who wears the No.17, rides for Eastbourne in the British Elite League, as well as Lublin in the Polish Second Division and Pardubice in the Czech Ekstraliga.
Meanwhile, his fellow Czech World Cup rider Simota, who will be rider No.18 in Prague, used to race for Reading and Peterborough in the UK.
The referee for the meeting will be Frank Ziegler from Germany.
