After the approval of the new rules for touristic gatherings, the FIM is happy to announce that the first event of the FIM International Challenge will take place in El Salvador from 23 to 25 February. Run under the aegis of the Federación Salvadorena de Motociclismo (FESAMOTO) and under the auspices of FIM Latin America,
the "XI CONVENCIÓN INTERNACIONAL EL SALVADOR 2017" will gather together passionate riders from all over the American Continent.
Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a unique event in the beautiful city of San Salvador!
The curtain raising event will be held over three days and offer a full programme designed to entertain riders and spectators in this fantastic Central American country.
In pursuit of the FIM strategic objectives, the Touring and Leisure Commission (CTL) is enhancing touring activities around the world, and, with great support from the National Federations, the new "FIM International Touristic Meeting Challenge" is kicking off with this first event (other data will be available soon).
Damiano ZAMANA FIM CTL Director:
“It is a pleasure to launch this new project starting from Latin America, a Continent that offers invaluable possibilities to develop motorcycle touring. This first meeting will pave the way for a world calendar that will be available soon, confirming the FIM’s strong FIM commitment to enhancing its non-sporting activities and its role as global advocate for motorcycling.
Luis FIGARI MONACO FIM Latin America Moto Tourism Director:
“We fully support the proposal of the El Salvador Motorcycling Federation (FESAMOTO) to be the pioneer for this new approach to tourism for motorcyclists put forward by the FIM. Moving outside Europe in order to tap into the passion and enthusiasm of more than 300 millions of Latin Americans is a clear sign of the FIM’s global vision on beyond sport activities.”
