The HardalpiTour (HAT) is a rally event for adventure motorcycles, recognised by the FIM and included in the 2016 World Adventouring Program.
The 2016 edition offers three different rides: the Extreme (800km), to be ridden in 36 hours including 2 overnight rides, the Classic (550km), to be finished in 24 hours, and the Discovery (160km), designed for those who prefer to stop before nightfall.
The GPS data, provided in advance, will mainly follow the ex-military “white roads” across the Italian-French border.
The base camp is located in Garessio, in North-Western Italy. Along the routes, four rest points will give the riders a breather before the Alpine finish in Sestriere at an altitude above 2000 metres.
Now gearing up for its 8th edition, the HAT has built up a considerable following over the years, becoming an international reference for adventure bike riders from all over Europe. This is mainly thanks to a unique historical network of local dirt roads that are legally practicable.
The 2015 edition saw record participation with more than 400 riders coming from 13 different nations, including Dakar factory riders like Botturi, Ceci and Cerutti, to experience at first hand the thrill of the most important “adventure touring” event and enjoy the new HAT Village, a convivial meeting point for all participants and partner companies.
There are still places available for HAT CLASSIC and HAT DISCOVERY, so if you want to participate, sign in as soon as possible. Registration will close when no more places are left and, in any case, no later than August 15th!
