The 39th edition of Thy Traef, part of the 2017 FIM Touring Challenge, was blessed with all types of weather and of motorcyclists!!
A little over 5000 riders and passengers met in the northwestern part of Denmark during the weekend of 11 to 13 August to have a good time together. The weather was not so good on Saturday, with quite a lot of rain, but the organiser has experience and was ready to secure the grass for both walking and riding. Among the many activities, the participants visted the neighbouring town of Thisted to meet the local people.
The Thy Traef meeting was part of the 2017 FIM Touring Challenge, and although not many riders signed up for that competition this year, the organising clubs are already gearing up for next year to welcome even more riders who want to compete through this sociable way of becoming a world touring champion!
The exact dates are not in yet, but Thy Traef 2018 will certainly be in the first half of August 2018. It is designed to attract motorcyclists who like the basic way of touring, with a tent as accommodation!
More pictures from the event will be available here https://www.facebook.com/ThyTraef/?fref=ts
If you are a motorcyclist and you are interested in participating in these events or others like them, please contact your national FIM member federation or its partner for touring activities. You can also obtain more information on fim-live.com or visit FIM Touring on Facebook.
The FIM has been the International Federation for motorcycling activities, in both sport and beyond sport, since 1904 and welcomes riders of all kinds of motorcycles and motorcyclists of all ages, genders and nationalities to our Touring events.
