Big hit for the first ever Women’s Motocross European Cup in Cieszyn (Poland)
This weekend the 1st Women’s MX European Cup took place in Cieszyn (Poland). 54 female riders from 21 countries took part in the three races scheduled during the weekend under a radiant sun.
Women’s Motocross is undeniably a growing sport – with a well-established World Championship (7 rounds) and many competitive national championships. “Having such a large number of participants from so many different European countries is exceptional and shows the interest and the need for female MX riders to have this type of continental events. This first event predicts a bright future for the Women’s Motocross European Cup” highlights Peter Isgren Women’s Motocross Representative for the FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission.
This European Cup directly contributes to increasing the level in women’s motocross by giving a new opportunity for competitive female MX rider to race and progress. The FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission supports such initiatives and salutes the excellent organisation of this 1st Cup, thanks to the efforts of Cieszyn’s Motoclub, the Polish Federation (PZM) and FIM Europe and looks forward the development and evolution of the Women’s MX European Cup.
