Experienced PHP Developer

Full-time position (100%)

THE FIM

Founded in 1904, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) is an international federation formed by 118 National Federations throughout the world, recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The FIM is the world governing body for motorcycle sports and the global advocate for motorcycling. With more than 50 World Championships organised under its aegis, the FIM works for the benefit of the sport and all its stakeholders.

The FIM IT Department has a permanent position available for a motivated, team-oriented PHP Developer. Working in a small team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the in-house made PHP applications and user support. You will work under the supervision of the FIM IT Manager.

 

Your duties in this position include mainly the following:

  • Participate in the full cycle of the development of new specific features under the supervision of the IT Manager
  • Maintain existing specific applications: updates, bug fixes, migrations
  • Train the users for the new implemented functionalities and create user guides
  • Support the users, for both applications and general IT matters if needed (Windows environment)


Your profile:

  • HES diploma or BS/MS degree in computer science or equivalent with at least 7 years of experience in a similar position
  • Proven experience in PHP development (Yii framework is a plus)
  • Extended knowledge of databases / SQL and HTML 5 / CSS / JavaScript
  • Extended knowledge / experience in developing and integrating APIs / web services (RESTfull)
  • Proven knowledge / experience in integrating SSO services
  • Good knowledge of security aspects of web development, Windows and Linux
  • Good knowledge of a control versioning system (GIT / Git Flow is a plus)
  • Knowledge about Azure platform / Microsoft 365 / Power Platform is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer- and service-oriented approach
  • Fluency in spoken/written English and French
  • Versatility, flexibility, autonomy, team spirit
  • Interest in motorcycle sports

 

Available to work on weekends and to travel on official business trips (workdays and weekends) in connection with FIM events/meetings – 1-2 times per year.

NB: The Management or the line manager reserves the right to entrust the incumbent with any other task deemed necessary for the smooth running of the FIM Administration.
