• Mr Ivan MAUGER, Speedway Champion

• Mr Angel NIETO, Road Racing Champion

At the 1988 Rio de Janeiro Congress to:

• Mr Ole OLSEN, SpeedwayChampion

At the 1990 Budapest Congress to:

• Mr Walter KAADEN, Technical Comission Vice-President

• Mr Nicolas SCHMIDT, FIM Honorary President

At the 1992 Columbus Congress to:

• Mr Neville GOSS MBE, CIAP President

At the 1999 Annecy Congress to:

• Mr Pierlucio TINAZZI. The Nicolas Rodil del Valle Medal of the FIM Motorcyle Merit was awarded posthumously to Mr Pierlucio Tinazzi for his couageous behaviour during the disaster in th Mont-Blanc tunnel, when he saved several lives with his motorcycle until he died himself from asphyxiation.

At the 2005 Geneva Biennial Session to:

• Mr Simon MILWARD. The Nicolas Rodil del Valle Medal of the FIM Motorcycle Merit was awarded posthumously to former FEMA Secretary General Simon Milward, who passed away in an accident in Mali in February 2005.
