From 2020, the FIM has set up the new FIM Product Certification Programme to provide manufacturers with an attractive seal of quality that can be used in all marketing & communication materials.
The FIM Product Certification programme does not imply any kind of liability whatsoever from the FIM and does on no account constitute a homologation of Additional Protective Devices (ADPs) nor a requirement for FIM Competitions.

The FIM offers two different levels of Product Certification:
Approved Product: entry-level - 3 years programme
- Product described as « FIM Approved Product »;
- Mention on the « FIM Product Certification Programme » list on FIM-LIVE.COM;
- Support from the CTI (International Technical Commission) to improve product quality and respect the FIM norms.
Certified Product: highest recognition - 3 years programme
- Product described as « FIM Certified Product »;
- Mention on the « FIM Product Certification Programme » list on FIM-LIVE.COM;
- Support from the CTI (International Technical Commission) to improve product quality and respect the FIM norms;
- Use of combined logo (FIM logo - Partner logo) for commercial exploitation;
- Advertisement page in the 2020 FIM Yearbook;- Agreement announcement via Press Release;
- Visibility on the FIM social media platforms.
