Pichon wins home pole in France

Mickael Pichon (France), Andrea Cervellin (Italy), Jernej Irt (Slovenia) and Michele Cervellin (Italy) are winners of the Saturday’s Qualifying sessions in Castelnau de Levis.

There was a great sunny day. Three home French riders finished top five. Mickael Pichon took the pole position in the FIM MX3 World Championship Qualifying practice. French Honda rider was the fastest already in both mornings free practices. His best time in Qualifications was only one more proof that Pichon was dominating the first day at the second MX3 event. Italian Alex Salvini (Husqvarna Cross 2 R) was always behind Pichon and finished second in the Qualifying practice.

Two French were following. Fabien Izoird (Suzuki) was third and fifth MX3 rider of the season 2009 Christophe Martin (Husqvarna) was fourth. Matevz Irt (Husqvarna) from Slovenia finished top five. Carlos Campano (Yamaha), the winner of the opening MX3 event from a week ago had problems with the bike and did not ride the whole Qualifying practice. Campano was sixth.
