Fresh from collecting a record setting tenth FIM Women’s Trial World Championship, Laia Sanz – Repsol Montesa spoke about her latest achievement after winning the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic.
“It has been a strange situation today as I rode really well and without putting a foot down, but in the end just one small mistake nearly cost me the championship. I am really happy not only to win the title here in the Czech Republic and with one round still to go, but also with my riding, as it has becoming better again in the last weeks.”
“Rebekah (Cook) rode well today, so I feel a little sorry for her as she was close to her first ever victory. However in the end it is a great moment for me and my team. This is a moment I could not have ever imagined when I begun my career. Anyway my work is not done yet as I want to continue, and I want to win many more titles in the future, but maybe not in the same way as today as it was a very long and nervous wait I had to suffer.” Ended Laia.
