2010 Trial Season Review
Following on from the success on its first publication, the FIM are proud to present the second edition of their Trial season review book – TRIAL 2010. Once again designed by G2F Media, this limited edition publication represents a full season review, covering all the rounds of the 2010 SPEA FIM Indoor Trial World Championship, the 2010 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship, the prestigious Trial des Nations team event and now also includes the 2010 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship during which Laia Sanz claimed an historic tenth title.
Measuring in at a mighty 330x240mm, this oversized A4 - glossy full colour book contains 144 pages packed with exclusive images and text, which clearly communicate the unique action and atmosphere of this highly skilled sport.
The story starts with a tribute to the undoubted star of the season Toni Bou - Repsol Montesa HRC, with the young Spanish rider having been victorious in both individual FIM championships, plus as a squad member in the Trial des Nations winning team. This initial feature is then followed by a series of previously unpublished images of the exotic factory bikes and their associated riders before moving seamlessly into the opening Indoor event held at the famous Sheffield arena.
From here the book follows Bou's progress throughout Europe, as the twenty-three year old fights his way to his third successive SPEA FIM Indoor Trial World Championship. Award winning and World-renowned photographer Ray Archer was present at all rounds of the Indoor series, and has brilliantly captured the flavour and sheer excitement every step of the way.
The colourful catalogue continues as the action switches to the battle to secure the 2010 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship, with all eight rounds and eleven days of competition covered extensively, and with refreshing variation. Alongside Bou's plight to take his second World title of the year, the progress of all the main contenders in the World Pro, Junior and Youth classes is detailed as the campaign visits eight different countries, including the unique Japanese Grand Prix.
Eric Kitchen, at the age of seventy seven, remains the most recognised and respected photographer within the Trial paddock, and has once again shared his never ending passion for the sport by working with FIM Press Manager Jake Miller and Juan Pablo Acevedo to provide an unrivalled oversight of all the outdoor action. This book also marks Eric’s final involvement with the series, with him having announced his retirement from the international scene mid way through the season.
This applauded publication, which is suitable for all ages, is rounded off with a full review of the Women’s campaign and the season ending Trial des Nations event, which was hosted in Myslenice, Poland – the same venue where the inaugural team competition was held back in 1984. In summary this is the ultimate Trial book. Priced at just €39.95 - this is the ideal Christmas gift.
