Former Chief Executive Officer of the French Motorcycle Federation (FFM), Mr Daniel Barthélémy passed away yesterday in Paris, following a long illness. He was 61 years old.
Graduated as a sports teacher, holder of a diploma in management and communication, he became technical and educational advisor in the public sector (linked to the Ministry of Youth and Sports). He then became FFM Chief Executive Officer in December 1996, where he remained until the end of 2009 when he retired. In the meantime, he conducted the working group on environmental issues at the FFM. He became President of the UEM Environmental Commission and an observer in the FIM International Environment Commission. In 2009 he was Chairman of the FIM Governance Working Group until August, and also working group leader for the Creative Management Action Plan within the framework of the FIM Strategic Plan.
