Palacio Hotel – Estoril, Portugal - Having very much become the TV face of the FIM Grand Prix Racing World Championship and the FIM MotoGP World Championship over the last decade or so, Britain’s Suzi Perry was the obvious choice to present this evening’s FIM Gala Ceremony. However her attendance was put in severe doubt as twice her flight from the UK to Portugal was cancelled over the last twenty-four hours due to the extreme winter weather that has hit certain parts of Europe over the last few days. After two failed attempts Suzi eventually arrived in Estoril late last night, ready for today’s final rehearsal.
“It’s certainly been a stressful couple of days, however thankfully I have finally made it. It is a great honour to have been asked to be a part of the FIM Gala Ceremony, and today promises to be a very special occasion both for those who will actually be present and also for those fans who will be watching the event live on TV.”
