On Saturday 27 March, the FIM attended a meeting held in Monaco at the Automobile Club de Monaco. This meeting gathered together four important motorsport International Federations - FIM - UIM (Powerboating) - FIA (Automobile) - FAI (Aeronautic) - with the aim of sharing information and expertise in order to improve their environmental policies and develop the application of alternative energies in their respective sports.
The FIM was represented by Messrs Robert Rasor, FIM Vice-President and Chairman of the FIM Alternative Energy Working Group, Oriol Puig Bulto, International Technical Panel President, Giancarlo Pasini, International Environment Commission President, and Alex Goldenberg, FIM Coordinator.
Mr Rasor stated: "This was an interesting meeting and we expect to work together with the other motorsport federations and join forces to develop a common strategy towards the environment and its protection and promote the use of alternative energies".
