The winners of Le Mans, Pekka Päivärintä and Adolph Hänni started second on the grid and it is a superbe victory for the 2008 FIM Sidecar World Champions. Ben and Tom Birchall (LCR/Yamaha) won the Sprint-Race at Schleiz (GER) yesterday but it seems they could not overtake the finish sidecar over the 22 laps of the Gold Race.
German team Hock/Becker (LCR/Suzuki) finished 4 after a strong battle with the duo Reeves/Cluze now riding a LCR/Suzuki.
