The spotlight will be on Estoril this Sunday
With the majority of the FIM World Championships now decided for another season the focus of attention will shift to the second edition of the FIM Gala that will take place at the Casino Estoril, Portugal this coming Sunday 4 December. Following on from the huge success of last year’s inaugural event, again the FIM Gala will provide the perfect opportunity to salute and reward the many FIM Champions and to celebrate motorcycle sport as a whole.
Over thirty different 2011 FIM Champions are due to assemble for this unique and prestigious occasion, which will be hosted by Suzi Perry for the second year running and broadcast live on both Motors TV and SPORTS TV Portugal to a global audience. The event will also be available to view live on FIM-TV.COM.
Adding extra weight to the proceedings, the current crop of elite motorcycle talent will be joined by some of the true legends of two-wheel sport; Eric Geboers, Giovanni Sala, Ángel Nieto, Karl Fogarty,Tony Rickardsson.and Iris Kramer.
During the ninety-minute ceremony the awards for the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS will also be announced and presented to the three following categories, which were voted for by the fans, media, riders, teams and industry over the previous weeks.

The FIM will also host its 2011 FIM General Assembly at the Estoril Congress Centre on Saturday 3 December in conjunction with the FIM Gala Ceremony. The two days of FIM activity will be made complete by the first ever FIM Symposium that will take place during the morning of Sunday 4 December. FIM President Vito Ippolito will open the FIM Symposium that will include a varied array of keynote speakers from the motorcycle industry, the media, blue chip global companies including Tag Heuer and major sports such as football and tennis.

• 18:30 – 19:30 – Red carpet arrival – Estoril Casino (Portugal)
• 21:00 – 22:30 – FIM Gala Ceremony
