The French-Italian rider reached her third title of Cross Country Rally World Champion in Women´s bike/quad category given by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM). She received the same acknowledgement from the French Motorcycle Federation (FFM). Now, she is focused in the last straight line before the start of the Dakar 2012.
Camelia is closing this year with a very busy schedule. Besides all preparation required for the Dakar, for which she spends all of her energy, she just came back from the FIM Gala Ceremony 2011 with the best bike riders of the planet at the Casino in Estoril, Portugal.
This “Oscar” Ceremony dedicated to the élite of two wheels, and being the only lady in a quad, Camelia received the medal and diploma of Cross Country Rally World Champion in Women´s bike/quad category from the hands of the five times World Champion of Enduro, the living legend Giovanni Sala.
Once the celebrations will be over, Camelia will find her quad in South America to attack the Dakar 2012. She will have to cover 9000 kilometers in 14 stages, starting with 900 km from the first day! The route will take competitors from Argentina to the Northern regions of Chile with its Atacama Desert and the arrival will be judged next January 15th in Lima, Peru for the very first time.
The world´s toughest rally raid race will start on January 1st at 5 a.m. from Mar del Plata in Argentina and Camelia will wear number 259 for the third year in a row.
