<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />It was a great weekend for Toni Bou - Repsol Montesa who cleaned up with two wins at the first ever Australian FIM Trial GP, extending his championship lead to sixteen points. In true Bou style, Toni was once again riding in a class of his own with the difficult course and challenging weather conditions proving to be no match for the reigning champion.
"This was a fantastic weekend for me, not only did I win the race but Raga was fourth on day two, so I extended my lead in the championship to sixteen points after two rounds. I am delighted with this - it was a perfect weekend. I am also very happy because it was a great trial for the riders. It was quite difficult on Saturday as some of the sections were slippery because of the rain. On Sunday it was a little easier but it was still an excellent race for all the riders," said Bou.
"The fans in Australia have been amazing too. It is a long way to come but they certainly made up for it, each section was bustling with spectators and they were really supportive and passionate. I had a great time in Australia, it was a fantastic weekend for me personally, and it was a fantastic event."
