Blazusiak - the man to beat!

07/12/12 - 11:02

After a great final round in Barcelona last February, won by Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL - KTM), the Federation International of Motorcycling (FIM)began looking for a new championship promoter.  After being successful with the tender they submitted to the FIM, Alain BLANCHARD (Maxxis FIM EWC Promoter) and the team at ABC Communication now have the difficult task of adding excitement and drive to the Championship, starting this year on 8th December in Poland.

After the cancellation of the Italian round in Genoa, the Grand Prix of Poland will be the first event of the "SuperEnduro” season and will be held in the third most important city in Poland; Lodz.  It will be held at the Atlas Arena where the current triple SuperEnduro World Champion will feel "at home" again.

SuperEnduro time at Lodz...

For the opening of the Championship, the FIMhas entrusted Lodzki Klub Motorowy and Polski Zwiazek Motorowy (PZM) with the privilege of running the very first round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.  There is great previous experience already here in Poland, as they hosted a round of championship last season.

The Lodzki Motorowy Kluband its president Andrzej ANDRZEJAK did not hesitate in choosing the venue. The Atlas Arena was designated to accommodate great events like this round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.  The arena, with a capacity of 12,109 seats, was opened in 2009 and has already hosted many important events, such as the World League Volleyball and the European Basketball Championship plus many concerts.  In addition, the arena also features 11 VIP suites with terrace!

Lodz, Poland's third largest city is located in a region with the same name in central Poland. This charming city of about 750,000 inhabitants is twinned with cities such as Lyon, Stuttgart, Vilnius or Los Angeles.  It is located 130 kilometres southwest of Warsawand 260 kilometres north of Krakow. Although once renowned for its textile industries, Lodzis nowadays a rapidly developing city, which is marked by the tragedies of history and economic difficulties.  It puts communication of its multicultural heritage and the organisation of important major events within its strategy to overcome difficulties of the past... SuperEndurois a part of this strategy.
