Missing from last year's calendar, Barcelona will make a welcomed return to the 2013 FIM X-Trial World Championship when it hosts the second round of the current series tomorrow afternoon come evening. The famous once Olympic venue, better known as the Palau Sant Jordi will be the scene of a packed programme as the eight permanent Trial riders take to the same stage as the World's best off road riders who will also be present to contest the second round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.
Qualification for the Trial will take place behind closed doors earlier in the day, this initial process will eliminate two riders and determine the starting order for the semi-final which will get underway at 18:15hrs local time. The action will roll straight through, with the final consisting of the best four riders on the night taking place immediately after the semi-final is done. Local organisers RPM have a reputation of creating a tough course, and there is nothing to suggest that tomorrow's offering will be any less brutal with another series of trade mark monster steps looking likely to be in store for the eight brave riders.
With such an encounter on the cards, the famous venue is sure to be packed to the rafters with noisy bike loving Spanish fans, creating a scene not too dissimilar to that often enjoyed by Barca at the Nou Camp stadium just around the corner.
