It will be the first time that a round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championshiphas been organised in France and perhaps even more important, organised in the city of Tourson the 9th of March, during the “Tours Moto Show”. The enthusiasm is so high that 75% of the tickets have been sold already for the 2012/2013 series big finale. Fans can’t wait to watch Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL – KTM), David KNIGHT (GB – Honda), Jonny WALKER (GB – KTM), Alfredo GOMEZ (E – Husaberg)and many more riders, who will be facing the spectacular, technical track at the Grand Hall of the Parc des Expositions.
Seb GUILLAUME as official tester!
Christophe BRUAND (Sherco)made his debut in Poland and is the only French rider who has competed in the entire series, but in Tours, the Sherco rider will be supported by Rodrig THAIN (F – Gas Gas)and Sebastien GUILLAUME (F) who will take the opportunity of this event to bid farewell to the French public.
For Rodrig THAIN, the runner-up in E1 last year, it will not be his first attempt at an Indoor Enduro race. He previously participated Indoors at Genoa (Italy) and took part in his first race under new team colours in the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on the 10th of February. He led for a while in the second race, after an impressive “Holeshot” before cracking under the pressure from David KNIGHT… The French rider should arrive in Indre-et-Loire with the desire and ability of grabbing a Top 5 place…
For Seb GUILLAUME, whose has an impressive list of achievements (2 times Enduro World runner-up, 4 time ISDE winner), this will be his first SuperEnduro event. He will lead the vetting of the track and will complete a demonstration lap on Friday, March the 8th at 17.00 for TV & Media. He may also participate in the main races on Saturday night and no doubt, the French public will receive him with a warm welcome.
Xavier DE SOULTRAIT (Yam), Alban DAUPHIN (TM), Mathieu GAGNOUD (TM), Pierrick RONCIN (TM) and Pierre PALLUT (TM) will also represent the French flag on March 9th in the Senior class, whilst Michel MEREL riders, Jérémy CARPENTIER (HM Honda)and Ludovic RAHAL (HM Honda) but also Max VIAL (Yam) and Adrien TARDY (TM)will try to fight against the Junior class riders.
So, it will be an interesting mix delivered inside the Parc des Expositions in Tourson the 9th of March at the series finale. French riders led by Rodrig THAINand Sebastien GUILLAUME are sure to be trying their hardest! Some additional surprises that will spice-up this prestigious race are still awaited. Until then…..
