Coma tiumphs in Qatar

MRW rider wins in Qatar for second consecutive victory in Cross-Country Rallies World Championship.

The winner of the Sealine Cross-Country Rally has now been decided. MRW rider Marc Coma was this morning crowned the inaugural winner of the event –the second race of the World Championship season. Second in the final stage, Coma ended the contest with a final advantage of more than six minutes over second placed Hélder Rodrigues.

Two weeks ago, Marc Coma claimed his sixth win in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, and today he added a new honour to his CV: The Sealine Cross-Country Rally. After covering over 1300km, divided into four stages, and winning one of the daily trials, the multiple World Champion did enough to continue his winning run. With this latest win the MRW rider increases his advantage in the overall standings to 14 points over Jordi Viladoms, with the competition reaching its midway point.
