FIM Rally 2012 Bydgoszcz

25/07/12 - 17:55

Over 700 motorcycles flood the city. Motorcyclists from 27 countries around the world came here to celebrate The International Motorcycling Federation's greatest event, the annual FIM Rally.

The participants had an opportunity to have a close look at the most beautiful features of the hosting region. They have gone canoeing the Brda river, through wonders of Tuchola Forest. They have visited Toruń, the gingerbread city of Kopernik. With their motorbikes, they have travelled through the surrounding Bydgoszcz villages. On Thursday, July 19, all the national representations were greeted with due ceremony on the Mill Island in the center of Bydgoszcz. On Saturday, July 21, the Nations Parade took place.

Among numerous attractions for the Rally participants, there was a CFM’s Women’s Programme, addressed especially to the ladies. The women-bikers took part in a karting training, and in a make-up show, organized by BELL company. Stunt demonstration presented by Ewa Pieniakowska, gathered a real crowd of spectators, as well as the travel stories of Ania Jackowska, who was talking about her experiences brought from Syria, Argentina, the Balkans and Austria. It was not the end of the journey memoires: the Motor-Pomeranian-Women made a presentation of the Amber Route, rediscovered on motorcycles on a trip from Gdańsk to the Adriatic coast. All the ladies and other participants were also invited to the Women’s MX Cup of Poland, held on July 22 in Człuchów.

During the closing party, the Torch of Honor was handed over to the delegacy of France, where the Rally will take place next year.
