Second round of FIM World Motocross Championship in WMX continues in little village in southern France – Castelnau de Lévis. Oceanic climate is here, so weather is changing every few minutes. At night it was raining, so track was really soaked, but after every race became track drier and drier. In Qualifying was the fastest Italian girl Chiara Fontanesi.
In the morning on very wet track had women troubles with riding. Sticky and heavy mud was everywhere, so timetable for girls had to be changed. They had only Free Practices and then in the afternoon Qualifying Practice. The best time of afternoon marked young Yamaha rider Chiara Fontanesi. She managed to be faster than home riders with many spectators around the track.
Second Free Practice was in Livia´s Lancelot hands. Rockstar Bud Racing Kawasaki rider Livia won the second Free Practice, but with minimum gap (0,15 secs). Fight for first place was between Livia and Chiara very close all the day. But in Qualifying Practice was more successful Chiara Fontanesi. Livia Lancelot has to be satisfied with second place for today. Now is everybody waiting for tommorow´s Race, who will be faster.
Home rider Justine Charroux had a very nice qualifying, too. She got stable results, concretated riding and all of this brought her third place in overall. She was nine seconds behind the first two riders. Another home rider Jessie Joineau delighted the spectators, too. On her two stroke Yamaha was Jessie very fast on this type of ground and she obtained fourth place. First top five women riders closed German on Suzuki Anne Borchers. She is motivated after Qualifying and she aims to the top podium places.
Virginie Germond was very close to Anne, but her best time was sufficient to sixth place only. Polish rider Joanna Miller wanted to be in top five too, her laps were very fast, but only hundredths moved her to seventh place. Britt van der Wekken, Dutch girl, feels on this type of ground very well. She obtained after Qualifying Practice in Castelnau de Lévis eight place. The first top ten riders closed home rider Mégane Pernet on Yamaha and HM Plant KTM UK rider Natalie Kane.
