Finally, since Tuesday, the entire Enduro World has been arriving at the paddock in Talca’s “Plaza Maule”. Everybody has been working hard to get their boxes set up and prepare the bikes for this weekend. The riders will arrive just in time for the special tests. The pressure is growing, here in Talca, with a temperature of 37 degrees, as we await the opening of the Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship.
The FIM president, Mr. Vito IPPOLITO, will be in Chile and Argentina for these two race weekends. The President, who hails from Venezuela, really wanted to come here for these South American rounds and to see how the Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship fares outside Europe.
The EWC thanks DHL and their Sports & Events Manager Hansruedi NACHT. The FIM sponsor has enabled the people now in the paddock to ship their bikes, tools and all the materials necessary for these two Grand Prix events safely to the South American Continent. The Swiss firm has played an important role in opening up this Championship.

Benjamin HERRERA (CL – TM) got himself noticed at the EWC last year by vying with Jonathan MANZI (I – KTM) in Romania during the FIM 125 cc Youth Cup. Today, at only 17 years old, the prospect from Talca is at home and he really wants to grab the two race-day victories ahead of his opponents REDONDI, CAIMI, MCCANNEY et al. To realise his dream, the Chilean TM rider will be relying on the support of the spectators, who will look out for him every time!
