MOTORESS Becomes Charitable Partner of ‘Look Good Feel Better’ to Support Women With Cancer.
MOTORESS announced today a new partnership with ‘Look Good Feel Better’, Canada’s only cancer charity dedicated to helping women manage the appearance-related effects of cancer and its treatment. As a charitable partner, MOTORESS intends to raise awareness for the cancer support program.
For the founder of MOTORESS, Vicki Gray, the partnership with ‘Look Good Feel Better’ is important and has a link with MOTORESS. “It’s not easy to decide on just one charity, one cause for MOTORESS to partner with”, states Vicki. “There are so many areas where women need assistance. Yet, the ‘Look Good Feel Better’ program helps women find support, gain confidence and take control of how they look, using cosmetics and hair alternatives, strengthening a positive attitude. I find this an essential component in treating cancer, as I’ve seen demonstrated by women I’ve known during my lifetime, who’ve battled cancer. There’s more to the fight than surgery or medical care, there’s the determination of spirit, and the belief in your own strength that enables women to face their illness with greater confidence”. Vicki adds that she has met many women with cancer who after diagnosis and during treatment have embraced motorcycling giving them yet renewed courage and confidence.
MOTORESS is extremely proud to be partnered with an organization that has implemented programs in 18 major countries around the world such as Australia, France, Israel and Italy—and ‘Look Good Feel Better’ Canada helps women in over 100 hospitals and cancer care facilities across the country. “We feel very happy to be recognized as a charitable partner for ‘Look Good Feel Better’. We hope not only to raise awareness during different activities and events at MOTORESS but help spread the word about this amazing resource for women with cancer”, adds Vicki.
With this new charitable partnership, Vicki Gray hopes that every woman in the MOTORESS community will have the feeling that they too are contributing to this good cause. “I do feel that it was important for MOTORESS to give back at this level and, the ‘Look Good Feel Better’ charitable organization gives our community a sense of making women’s lives better when faced with such an overwhelming illness as cancer”, concludes Vicki.
